What is rosacea?

Rosacea is a chronic skin problem that is especially common in older, fair-skinned individuals. Rosacea is characterized by redness of the face, in particular the cheeks, chin, and nose. Red or flushed skin symptoms may also be accompanied by visible blood vessels, papules, or pustules. Rosacea is more common in women between 30 to 50 years old.
