For women with severe endometriosis, six months of treatment with GnRHa prior to an IVF cycle may improve fertility rates. GnRHa therapy prior to IVF can improve the chances of embryonic implantation in the uterus. However, because fertility rates drop with age, IVF treatment may be suggested at an expedited schedule for women over age 35.
