Endometriosis and infertility

In normal couples, the rate of pregnancy is about 20% per month. In women with endometriosis, the rate of pregnancy drops to a 5 to 10% chance per month.

Although surgery to treat endometriosis pain is helpful, endometrial surgery does not improve the rates of fertility. GnRH or Danazol treatment also does not improve fertility chances. IVF is the standard of care for women with endometriosis-associated infertility.
